Pragmatic Play Releases Gates of Olympus 2500 and Sets Out Its Q4 2026 Roadmap

Pragmatic Play released Gates of Olympus 2500 on 28 September 2026, the latest instalment in the Greek mythology series that began with the original Gates of Olympus. The game arrived as Pragmatic published its fourth-quarter roadmap ahead of SBC Summit Lisbon, covering slots, its POP sub-brand, live casino and arcade games. Our Pragmatic Play provider page covers the studio’s catalogue.

How Gates of Olympus 2500 works

The game keeps the 6×5 grid and pay-anywhere format of the original: eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid pay, and winning symbols are removed so new ones can drop in for further wins in the same spin. Multiplier symbols, which appear in both the base game and the bonus, now reach 2,500x.

Four or more Zeus scatters trigger 15 free spins, and the game then picks one of four modes at random:

  • Free Spins 1: multipliers that land in winning combinations add to a running total multiplier.
  • Super Free Spins 1: as above, but no multipliers below 10x appear.
  • Free Spins 2: every multiplier that lands adds to the total, whether or not it is part of a win.
  • Super Free Spins 2: as Free Spins 2, with only multipliers of 10x or more.

Three or more scatters during the round add five spins. Free spins can be bought directly in markets where the feature is allowed.

Published specifications list high volatility, a maximum win of 25,000x the stake and a default return to player of 96.52%. Listings also show versions set at 95.50% and 94.50%, so the RTP displayed in the game’s information panel at a particular casino is the figure that applies. The base stake range is 0.20 to 240 per spin in the account currency.

Sharon McHugh, Pragmatic Play’s Director of Public Relations, pointed to the four bonus modes and the reworked multiplier mechanics as the main changes.

The rest of the Q4 roadmap

Pragmatic listed the following dates for the final quarter of 2026:

  • Sweet Bonanza POP: 20 October.
  • Zeus vs Hades POP: 17 November.
  • Sugar Megarush: 30 November.
  • Starlight Princess POP, with multipliers up to 1,000x: 1 December.
  • Sweet Bonanza Xmas 2500: 3 December.

POP titles are a simplified, faster-round format with instant prizes. In live casino, the roadmap includes Mega Wheel Latino with Spanish-speaking presenters in October and a game show called Guess the Number on 1 December, with wins of up to 10,000:1. Actor and comedian Kevin Hart is due to host selected live tables on 6 and 7 November as part of a promotion the studio announced in September. Arcade releases include Keno+ on 23 November and Pump+ on 30 November.

What Australian players should know

Pragmatic Play is licensed by regulators including the UK Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority, but Australians reach its games only through offshore casinos, because online pokies are prohibited for Australian-licensed operators. With three RTP settings on offer, the difference between 96.52% and 94.50% is about 2 cents per dollar wagered over the long run, so it is worth checking the version before playing. Our guides to pokies RTP, volatility and bonus buy pokies explain how these settings affect results, and cluster and pay-anywhere mechanics are covered separately.

The default RTP is 96.52%. Listings also show versions at 95.50% and 94.50%, so check the figure in the game’s information panel at the casino you use.

The maximum win is 25,000 times the stake, and multiplier symbols can reach 2,500x.

Four or more scatters award 15 free spins in one of four randomly chosen modes. The Super modes remove multipliers below 10x, and the number 2 modes add every multiplier to the total, not only those in winning combinations.
