Monopoly Live
MONOPOLY Live is a live game show from Evolution, released in 2019 under licence from Hasbro. A presenter spins a vertical money wheel; number segments pay fixed odds, Chance segments award multipliers or cash prizes, and the 2 Rolls and 4 Rolls segments start a 3D bonus round on a Monopoly board hosted by an animated Mr Monopoly.
The Wheel
The wheel has 54 segments:
| Segment | Number on wheel | Probability per spin | Pays |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 22 | 40.74% | 1 to 1 |
| 2 | 15 | 27.78% | 2 to 1 |
| 5 | 7 | 12.96% | 5 to 1 |
| 10 | 4 | 7.41% | 10 to 1 |
| Chance | 2 | 3.70% | Multiplier or cash (no separate bet) |
| 2 Rolls | 3 | 5.56% | Bonus game |
| 4 Rolls | 1 | 1.85% | Bonus game |
You can bet on six spots: 1, 2, 5, 10, 2 Rolls and 4 Rolls. There is no betting spot for Chance.

Chance Segments
When the wheel stops on Chance, Mr Monopoly draws a card that applies to every player with a bet in that round:
- Cash prize: an instant prize, sized in proportion to your total bet on that round.
- Multiplier: your bets stay in place, the wheel spins again, and the multiplier applies to winning number bets on the next spin.
Chance results are random, and their value is included in the RTP of each bet spot.
The 2 Rolls and 4 Rolls Bonus
If the wheel stops on 2 Rolls or 4 Rolls, players with a bet on that spot enter the bonus round. Players without a bet on it watch only.
- Board setup. The game shows a 3D Monopoly board. Each property carries a multiplier. Before the rolls, houses and hotels are randomly placed on some properties, raising their multipliers.
- Rolling. Two dice are rolled, and Mr Monopoly moves forward by the total.
- Collecting. Each square he lands on adds its value to your bonus total: property multipliers, Chance and Community Chest results, or other special squares.
- Doubles. Rolling a double gives an extra roll, which extends the bonus.
- Payout. At the end, your total multiplier is applied to your stake on that bonus spot.
Illustrative example: A$1 on 4 Rolls. The wheel stops on 4 Rolls. Over four rolls (plus one extra for a double), Mr Monopoly collects multipliers totalling 85x. You receive A$85 plus your A$1 stake.
The 4 Rolls bonus pays more on average than 2 Rolls because Mr Monopoly moves further and collects more squares, but it lands only once every 54 spins on average.
RTP and House Edge
The game’s optimal RTP is 96.23%, achieved on the bet spot with the highest return. Other bet spots return less; published figures put the lowest at about 91.30%, a house edge of 8.70%. The exact figure for each spot is listed in the help screen of the game, and you should check it at your casino, because operators can be offered different configurations.
| Measure | Figure |
|---|---|
| Optimal RTP | 96.23% |
| Lowest RTP among bet spots | About 91.30% |
| House edge range | About 3.77% to 8.70% |
A higher hit rate does not mean a better bet. Number 1 wins 40.74% of spins but pays only even money; whether its RTP is high or low depends on how Chance multipliers fall on it. Check the help screen rather than assuming the most frequent number is the best value.
Comparing Bet Spots
| Bet spot | Hit rate | Hits per 100 spins (average) | Typical character |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 40.74% | 41 | Low variance |
| 2 | 27.78% | 28 | Low to medium variance |
| 5 | 12.96% | 13 | Medium variance |
| 10 | 7.41% | 7 | Higher variance |
| 2 Rolls | 5.56% | 6 | High variance |
| 4 Rolls | 1.85% | 2 | Very high variance |
A common approach is to cover all four numbers (48 of 54 segments, 88.9%) and add small bonus bets. That produces a win on most spins, but every losing number bet still costs money, and the total expected loss is the sum of the edges on each spot.
Worked cost estimate: betting A$1 on each of the six spots (A$6 per spin) at an average edge of about 5% costs around A$0.30 per spin, or about A$30 per 100 spins. The spread of results around that figure is wide because a single 4 Rolls bonus can return many times the stake.

Practical Checklist
- Check the RTP per bet spot in the help screen before you pick spots.
- Set a per-spin stake that you can sustain for at least 100 spins; bonus hits are irregular.
- Expect live game shows to contribute little or nothing to bonus wagering.
- Ignore result-tracking sites that suggest a bonus is “due”. Each spin is independent; see the gambler’s fallacy.
- Use the casino’s session and deposit limits; our live dealer tips cover the practical side.
MONOPOLY Live is available at casinos with an Evolution lobby, including MrPunter and MORI WIN. More options are in our live dealer casinos list, and every live game we cover is in the live casino guide.
