Dragon Link pokies are Aristocrat machines built on the Lightning Link platform. In Australia you can play them for real money only on a venue floor. As of October 2026, Aristocrat has announced no real-money online release of Dragon Link anywhere, and none of the 49 online casinos we review lists Aristocrat as a provider. Any “Dragon Link pokies online real money Australia” offer therefore needs a close look. This guide covers what the series is, how its orb-triggered Hold & Spin works, the difference between free apps and real money, and the online pokies with a similar round that you can play free in demo mode.

Real-money Dragon Link at online casinos in Australia?	No. Online pokies cannot legally be offered to Australians under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.
Real-money Dragon Link online anywhere?	No release announced by Aristocrat. Its first online link title, Lightning Link High Stakes, went live in regulated US states and Canadian provinces in July 2026.

A game called “Dragon Link” on an offshore site is not an Aristocrat product released online. Check the provider name in the game’s info panel; a site that mislabels a game is not one to trust with a deposit. Our guide to spotting a scam casino lists other warning signs.

What Dragon Link Is

Aristocrat’s description: “The Dragon Link series, builds off the Lighting Link platform, adding colorful Asian-themed games and exciting game features. Dragon Link takes Hold & Spin and adds a beautiful Orb trigger symbol across all titles, making it easy to recognize regardless of the game you’re enjoying.” The games are multi-denomination, so a player chooses the credit value on the machine.

Aristocrat’s North American page lists nine titles: Autumn Moon, Genghis Khan, Golden Century, Happy and Prosperous, Panda Magic, Peace and Long Life, Peacock Princess, Silk Road and Spring Festival. On its Australian site, Aristocrat says eight of them are now available on its premium MarsX cabinets “with larger jackpots”: Golden Century, Happy and Prosperous, Autumn Moon, Genghis Khan, Panda Magic, Peace and Long Life, Spring Festival and Peacock Princess.

How the Orb Hold & Spin Works

Every Dragon Link title uses the same orb symbol as its Hold & Spin trigger, whatever the theme. Aristocrat lists three core features on the series page:

• Hold & Spin Jackpot: the Lightning Link mechanic with “a common orb trigger symbol across all game themes for uniformity”. Orbs lock in place with credit values or jackpot labels, and the remaining positions respin.
• Grand Jackpot: described as an “exciting top progressive prize”.
• Free Games: with mystery symbols.

Aristocrat’s description of Autumn Moon adds detail for one title: Hold & Spin, scalable bonus prizes, Cash-on-Reels and wins of up to 250x the bet on a scatter. During Autumn Moon Free Games, all special symbols reveal the same symbol, including the chance of the big jackpot.

The respin logic is the same as in online hold and win pokies: new orbs lock and reset the respin count, and the round ends when respins run out or the screen fills. A worked example at A$1 is in our hold and win guide.

The Lightning Link guide covers the original series, its 2026 online launch and the Lightning Link Casino app.

Free Dragon Link Apps vs Real Money

Searches such as “dragon link pokies online free australia” and “dragon link slots online free download” usually end at social casino apps. Aristocrat’s social casino business, Product Madness, publishes free-to-play titles such as Lightning Link Casino and Heart of Vegas on the App Store and Google Play. Product Madness states that these games do not offer gambling or an opportunity to win real money or prizes. Coins can be bought but never cashed out.

Two things to avoid:

• APK downloads named “Dragon Link”. An Android file from an unknown site that claims to be Dragon Link is not from Aristocrat and can carry malware. Our pokies apps guide explains what real casino apps look like.
• “Free coins” and “hack” pages. They are not connected to the developer and are a common phishing route.

Online Pokies Similar to Dragon Link

If the appeal is an Asian theme with a cash-respin round, these pokies from our reviews are the closest online matches. The first three have official demos on the review page, so you can try the round with virtual credits before deciding anything.

Pokie	Studio	Why it is similar	RTP (top)	Max win	Free demo
Floating Dragon Hold & Spin	Pragmatic Play	Asian dragon theme; Hold & Spin with coins 1x to 20x and diamonds 100x to 4,993x	96.71%	5,000x	Yes
Wolf Gold	Pragmatic Play	Money Respin with Mini 30x, Major 100x and Mega 1,000x for a full screen	96%	Mega 1,000x jackpot	Yes
Elvis Frog in Vegas	BGaming	Coin Respin from 6+ coins with Mini, Major and Mega labels	95.3%	2,500x	Yes
Money Train 2	Relax Gaming	Respin round with collector and multiplier symbols	96.40%	50,000x	No

Floating Dragon is rated high volatility, pays its Hold & Spin minimum of 20x the bet, and adds a free spins round where wilds collect fish values with up to a 10x multiplier. Its full rules, RTP versions and demo are on the Floating Dragon review. For more demos, see free pokies.

Keep two differences in mind. The jackpot labels in these online games are fixed multiples of your bet, not a linked progressive pool like the Grand on a venue bank. And the online game you load may run a lower RTP version than the demo; read the figure in the rules in real-money mode, as shown in how to check a game’s RTP.

Dragon Link in Venues: What to Know

Venue machines in Australia are regulated by each state. Queensland, for example, requires gaming machines to return between 85% and 92% over their lifetime, according to the state’s guidance on how gaming machines work. That is below the 95% to 97% typical of online pokies, but venues come with state oversight, while offshore casinos come with none. See online vs pub pokies and progressive jackpots for the full comparison.

Orb features and visible Grand jackpots are designed to make sessions feel close to a big win. Set a spending limit before you play, take breaks, and use your state’s venue self-exclusion scheme if you need it; see self-exclusion.
