Reload Bonuses Explained
A reload bonus is a deposit match offered to existing players after the welcome package is finished. Most offshore casinos run reloads on fixed days of the week, often with a promo code and a smaller match than the welcome offer, typically 20% to 70%. Because the match is lower, the turnover per dollar of bonus is usually lower too, but the wagering multiplier is often the same.
This page shows how reloads are structured and how to compare them. It is part of our bonus guides.

Worked Example: Two Reloads on a A$200 Deposit
HellSpin Wednesday (50%, 40x bonus)
- Bonus: 50% of A$200 = A$100, plus 100 free spins.
- Turnover: 40 x A$100 = A$4,000.
- Expected loss at 96% RTP: A$160.
- Expected value of the bonus money: A$100 – A$160 = -A$60.
GunsBet Friday (60%, x40)
- Bonus: 60% of A$200 = A$120, plus 20 free spins.
- Turnover: 40 x A$120 = A$4,800.
- Expected loss: A$192.
- Expected value: A$120 – A$192 = -A$72, and winnings are capped at A$1,500.
The larger match produces more turnover at the same multiplier, so its expected value per deposit is slightly worse. Where the reload has no wagering, as at CristalPoker, the bonus is pure extra balance; it is sticky, so the bonus amount is removed at withdrawal but winnings above it are yours.

Choosing the Deposit Size
The cap divided by the match percentage gives the deposit that collects the full bonus:
- RocketPlay Sunday: A$300 / 50% = A$600.
- GunsBet Friday: A$550 / 60% = about A$917.
- 7Bit Monday: A$1,000 / 25% = A$4,000.
Depositing more than that adds no bonus. Depositing less is fine; the match applies proportionally. Pick the amount from your budget, not from the cap. Our bankroll management guide covers how to size deposits relative to monthly entertainment spending.
Should You Claim Every Reload?
Accepting a reload commits your deposit to wagering until the bonus is cleared or forfeited. With a sticky bonus, or one that locks your deposit, you cannot withdraw the deposit early without losing the bonus and its winnings. Reasons to decline:
- You plan to play live tables or blackjack, which usually count 0%–10%.
- You want the option to withdraw after a quick win.
- The casino applies a deposit turnover rule anyway (HellSpin, Woo and Rooli require 3x deposit turnover), so check whether the bonus adds anything beyond that.
- You already have an active bonus; most casinos allow one at a time.
With a non-sticky reload the cost of claiming is lower, because real money is played first and can be withdrawn before the bonus is used.
Reload Terms to Check
- Eligibility: RocketPlay’s Sunday bonus requires at least two previous deposits; Bitkingz’s daily reload opens only after the welcome package is complete.
- Day and time zone: “Friday” may mean Friday UTC, which starts at 10 or 11 am in Sydney depending on daylight saving. RocketPlay states UTC for its Friday spins.
- Codes: many reloads need a code entered before the deposit. See promo codes.
- Max bet and expiry: A$8 max bet is common; expiry ranges from a few days to HellSpin’s 30 days.
- Win caps: GunsBet’s A$1,500 cap is stated in the terms.
Free Spins Bundled With Reloads
Many reloads add spins: HellSpin’s Wednesday offer includes 100 spins on Voodoo Magic, Bizzo’s Thursday offer 100 spins, Woo’s weekend reload 60 spins. Value them separately: 100 spins at A$0.20 are A$20 of play, returning about A$19.20 at 96% RTP before their own wagering. Spins are often released in batches over two days and expire if not used. Details are in our free spins guide.
Reloads vs Cashback
A reload helps when you want a longer session from one deposit. Cashback helps after a losing week and usually carries far lower wagering. Some casinos, including RocketPlay, offer both, but rarely on the same funds in the same period.
Reload Bonuses and VIP Status
Higher VIP levels often unlock larger or personal reloads with lower wagering. These are covered in VIP programs. Treat any increase in deposit frequency to reach a level as a cost, not a benefit; set limits using our limit-setting guide.
